Usher Officially Confirmed as Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show Performer
The Super Bowl LVIII is coming up in a few months and the hype just got a lot more intense as Usher was officially confirmed as the halftime show performer at the big game.
The National Football League revealed the news with two promo videos, one featuring player-turned-coach Deion Sanders, while the other featured Kim Kardashian.
Both promotional videos mashed together new footage with Usher's iconic scene from his "Confessions Part II" music video released in 2004.

In the original video, Usher gets a phone call while he's in the recording booth that seems to shock him, with the lyrics depicting a situation in which he finds out that a woman with whom he was cheating on his girlfriend with is now pregnant.
The eight-time Grammy-winning artist responded to both posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing on Sanders' clip, "I’m ready," along with three flame emojis. He then commented under the video with Kardashian, exclaiming, "We gon turn sh*t up!"
Fans loved not only the fact that Usher would be performing, but the fun promo videos from the NFL.
"Yoooooo whoever the creator director for the NFL is they on point," wrote one fan, while another responded, "Happy with this choice. I hope they keep the trend of having music LEGENDS perform in this slot."
While debate started in the comments on X, with some disagreeing with the pick, others felt like Usher was the perfect artist due to his extensive catalog of great music, with notes like, "bros old stuff is still so elite so W" and "Classics are the best."
The football game will take place on Feb. 11, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Usher previously appeared on a Super Bowl Halftime Show stage as a guest at the Super Bowl XLV, which was headlined by The Black Eyed Peas.
Parade has been keeping a running list of all the predicted artists for next year's Super Bowl Halftime Show and Usher was one of the many names in discussion for the big game.
