Using Headphones on the New iPhone Could Be a Lot Harder
You may have heard the rumors: The next iPhone will likely have one major change. Instead of a regular headphone jack, there will only be a lightning port.
A new video (above) shows how this change could make using your headphones with the next iPhone more difficult. What appears to be a brand new iPhone accessory is necessary for connecting regular headphones to the device.
Unless you use new headphones from Apple specifically designed for the lightning port, you'll have to carry the accessory with you when you want to use your headphones. Or, invest in a pair of wireless headphones.
And in another video, which has also not been confirmed as legit, we get a sneak peek at what the next Apple headphones could be like. Unless you have these, you'd need that lightning port dongle.
Apple has not confirmed the next product event, although it is expected some time in September.
