The New USPS Holiday Stamps Are Here
1) Our Lady of Guápulo
This stamp features the painting Our Lady of Guápulo, which depicts the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child dressed in ornate gowns and jeweled crowns. The original, created in the 18th century by an unknown Peruvian artist, can be found in the collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Illustrator Kirsten Ulve created these cheerful stamps "inspired by folk art, but with a modern, graphic vibe," according to USPS. Printed in the traditional Christmas colors of red, green, and white, the four stamps in this set show beloved holiday symbols including a Christmas tree, a stocking, an ornament, and a reindeer.
3) Kwanzaa
This new stamp celebrates the Pan-African holiday of Kwanzaa, celebrated from December 26 to January 1. Featuring original artwork by Andrea Pippins, it shows a woman with her eyes closed, her head turned sideways. "Her contemplative demeanor signifies the ways in which observers of Kwanzaa reflect on the seven founding principles, the Nguzo Saba, and their role in everyday life," USPS says of the design. "A kinara (candleholder) with the seven lit candles (mishumaa saba) sits in front of her. Cool tones evoke a sense of inner peace, and vibrant design elements give the artwork a celebratory feel."
4) Winter Scenes
Photographs from across the United States were used to create this set of stamps depicting classic winter scenes. Images include red barns set against white countrysides, a horse-drawn sleigh making its way through the snow, and wildlife in the forest.
5) Hanukkah
Featuring original artwork by Jing Jing Tsong, the 2020 Hanukkah stamp depicts the lighting of the menorah on the last night of the holiday. "All eight of the Hanukkah candles have been lit, and the child is reaching up to replace the shamash, the helper candle used to light the others in the menorah," USPS says of the scene.
