Vanessa Bryant wows with emotional photo: ‘Strength and serenity’
Vanessa Bryant’s undoubtedly had a tough year — and she decided to represent that through an emotional photo.
On Thursday, Bryant posted a black and white photo to Instagram that shows her head tilted to the side and her eyes closed and downcast. Her hair is worn naturally curly and she’s kept things pared-down fashion-wise with just a white T-shirt and bracelet. She captioned the picture “2020,” and the simplicity of the message was understood by all. Photographer Brian Bowen Smith, who took the photo, shared it with his followers as well.
Fellow celebs and fans took to the comments to share their love for the mother of four through words of encouragement and a flood of heart emojis. “Strength and serenity,” supermodel Naomi Campbell commented. “Love you deep,” singer Monica wrote. “Love you Vanessa,” blogger Emily Gemma added.
Following the untimely deaths of her late husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant in January, Vanessa has been praised for her poise and strength. She has taken to social media to share precious memories and tributes with her followers. On Thanksgiving, Bryant shared a throwback photo of her and Kobe to commemorate the anniversary of when they met.
“Love at first sight 11/27/99 #21,” she captioned the photo.
The couple was married for almost 20 years and had four daughters. Celebrity friends like Lala Anthony and Ciara have rallied around Vanessa and her children.
