Vape shop employee fired after refusing service to man wearing Trump shirt, MAGA hat
A Georgia vape store employee was fired for refusing service to a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and “TRUMP” shirt.
Xhale City, in Tucker, Georgia, said it has fired an employee after a customer was denied service due to his pro-Trump gear. The customer recorded a video of the incident and shared it to YouTube.
In the now-viral video (with explicit language), the customer is asking an exasperated clerk about purchasing vape juice for his wife’s e-cigarette – to which the employee tells him to stop recording and to leave the store. In the video, the clerk can be heard calling President Donald Trump treasonous and racist. The employee also is captured screaming expletives at the customer.
Xhale City addressed the issue on its Facebook page on Friday.
“Tonight, we had an employee act improperly toward a customer. Xhale City does not tolerate this kind of behavior from its employees. When we identified the employee at fault, we fired him immediately. We’ve also spoken to the customer and apologized. We value our clients and treat them with respect and dignity, regardless of their political views.”
The following day, the vape store shared a video that featured the customer, identified by local Atlanta news station Fox 5 Atlanta as Ian Fergeson, in which he forgives the shop and asks Trump supporters not to boycott the store for the actions of the now ex-employee.
