Vendors, drag shows and more: Peoria pride event returning to riverfront in July

Peoria's River City Pride event, which is being billed as the largest yet, will be held on July 20 on the Peoria riverfront.

Peoria Proud, the LGBTQ organization that hosts the event, said this year's event will feature over 100 vendors, two entertainment stages, four drag shows and a kids' zone.

Admission is free for people under 18 and $5 for anyone over 18. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Attendees can receive $1 off admission per non-perishable food item donated to Neighborhood House between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The Showstoppers Drag Show will take place on one of the two entertainment stages at 7 p.m., and Emily the Band will perform at 4 p.m.
