Vermont Days are back with free admission to state parks and historic sites

Vermont Days are back this Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, with free admission to Vermont State Parks and State Historic Sites. It's also the 100th birthday of the Vermont State Park system, which encompasses 55 parks.

"Vermont Days is a great way to explore Vermont, enjoy the warmer weather, and try something new this summer," Heather Pelham, commissioner of the Department of Tourism and Marketing, said in a statement.

In addition to free admission to state parks and historic sites, the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier will offer free admission on Saturday, June 8, and will have several "family friendly" events happening throughout the weekend.
