Veterinarian Applauds Simple Switch Pet Parents Can Offer Instead of Dog Bones
We need to start doing this!
We’ve shared with you before different veterinarians on TikTok suggesting things not to do with pets. Those tips can range from what kinds of foods to avoid and what toys are not good for your fur babies. But this latest video from TikTok vet @dr.hunterfinn is a little different. He's instead praising pet parents doing this certain thing.
As dog parents, we so often want to give them bones and even antlers, but time and time again we hear how bad they are. Instead, this vet is applauding pet owners who are swapping out dog bones. This solution is something simple and easy that we should all start doing it. Check it out!

Wow, this is so awesome! We know our dogs love nibbling on carrots whenever we get them out for ourselves, so now we’ll be buying extra. Absolutely worth it though and so much healthier for our fur babies.
“My dogs are obsessed with whole carrots. We buy four bags a week but never thought of the freezer to slow them down!” said @lainers21. We would’ve never thought of putting them in the freezer if it weren’t for this video. Genius!
Another TikToker, @bayleigh.ann, wrote, “As someone who paid $800 for my dog’s dental bill, please avoid antlers.” Yes, we’ve heard horror stories relating to certain dog bones or chews. Please be careful. And if you’re ever unsure if you should give something to your dog, please ask your vet. You can never be too safe!
