Video of adorable girl squad sashaying through a Washington, D.C., hotel goes viral
Lyric Dixon had the ultimate slumber party when her mother, Angel, rented a room for her and a group of her little friends at a Washington, D.C., hotel for the girl’s 5th birthday.
As soon as the mini squad suited up for the swimming pool, Angel wisely decided to whip out her camera as her grandmother, Crystal (known as “Grammie”), did a little chant to get the girls excited. Angel captured the girls in a spontaneous song-and-dance routine as they marched down the hall. In a video that’s now gone viral, Lyric can be seen leading the pack as the world’s sassiest unicorn princess.

When Crystal launches into song (“Hey, ladies, where y’all going to?” “To the pool!”), the girls start strutting their stuff, single-file, while decked out in sunglasses and party hats. It’s obvious the girls are having a ball (Grammie too!), but what’s even more impressive is the performance — these kids have moves!
Crystal said she wanted Lyric’s birthday celebration to be “epic,” but she couldn’t have known how true those words would become. The video has been viewed countless times and shared everywhere — even by celebrities like Naomi Campbell and Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as Mindy Kaling.
Wait, can I go to the pool with you instead of going to work? I have a skirted one piece too! (#regram #afrocentrickids) pic.twitter.com/6IoM1gxMJH

So what does a fierce group of little girls do after sashaying to the pool and swimming? Have a dance battle, of course, says Grammie — Rainbows vs. Unicorns.
