Chick-fil-A workers and customers pray for worker with cancer — video goes viral
For many, the people they work with become a surrogate family. After all, you spend around 40 hours a week with these people, and just like a real family — you’re stuck with them whether you like them or not.
A recent viral video speaks about the type of bond we form with our co-workers. At a Belmont, N.C., Chick-fil-A outlet, an unnamed manager asks for the attention of customers and employees so they can pray for Ms. Trish, a beloved team member who was undergoing surgery for breast cancer, according to Fox 46 in Charlotte, N.C.
As the team members of the fast food restaurant bowed their heads in silence, so did every patron in line or enjoying their meal.
“So if you all know her from our dining room, today is a rough day for us. We’re hoping that things will go well. … If you’ll bow your heads — and I’m not great at this, but I’m going to do my best,” the manager said.
As he prays that the surgeons have steady hands and that everyone in the operating room has sharp minds and clear heads, he adds, “We need [Ms. Trish] back here. She is our light. She is a pillar in the community for us, and everybody here loves her so much. Please, please just protect her and get her back here to brighten our days.”
According to Fox 46, Ms. Trish’s surgery went well, thankfully, and she is recovering. Her work family can’t wait to have her back.
