'The View' Host Sunny Hostin's Absence Sparks Concern Among Fans

The host was MIA without an explanation.

Sunny Hostin has struck concern among fans after she's been missing from The View

The 54-year-old talk show host has missed both Thursday and Friday episodes of the show without any explanation and fans are wondering about her whereabouts.

After Hostin's second time missing the show on Friday–along with Whoopi Goldberg who also wasn't in attendance–fans took to their Twitter accounts to express their concerns.

"Whoopi AND Sunny are “off?!” No ma’am !!! #TheView" one fan shared.

"No Whoopi. And no sunny?" another user wrote.

One fan even admitted that they wouldn't be watching the show anymore without Hostin and Goldberg in attendance. "Straight disrespectful but any who I will not be watching the view no more no more Whoopi or sunny sorry," they wrote.

The View filled Hostin and Goldberg's spot with The Bachelorette alum, Rachel Lindsay. Some fans were loving her presence so much that they believe she should be a permanent member on the daytime talk show.

"Rachel Lindsay should be a permanent co-host of The View," one fan wrote.

"Having Rachel Lindsay on the View could be the only reason I tune in for more than 3 seconds," another fan shared.

Hostin returned to the show on Monday morning, but still has yet to reveal why she missed out on the past two episodes last week.

Her absense comes just a few weeks after she opened up to People about undergoing liposuction and breast reduction surgery in 2022 in hopes that she can de-stigmatize cosmetic procedures.

Hostin said that her choice to undergo cosmetic surgery was a "health decision and a self-care decision."

"I thought I would feel shame, like, 'Oh my God, I'm doing plastic surgery like all these crazy celebrities.' But I don't feel shame at all," she says. "And I hope sharing my story will help more people. If they're feeling so body-conscious, the way I was — they can do what they need to do to feel better."
