TikTok user sparks uproar after sharing the ‘real’ way drivers should park their cars: ‘We’ve been doing it wrong’
Drivers, beware: There’s a new best way to park your car.
At least according to TikTok, there is. The concept comes courtesy of a user named @bigbruva_77, who sparked a massive debate after sharing his theory that we’ve all been parking the “wrong way.”
The TikToker framed his viral clip as a life hack, making it just the latest video of its kind to go viral on the app. In the past, users have shared their tips for cleaning showers, blocking spam calls, organizing silverware and even flipping grilled cheese.

However, @bigbruva_77’s life hack was a lot more controversial than a simple household tip.
“We’ve been doing it wrong the whole time,” he captioned his video.
In the video, which has more than 4.7 million views, @bigbruva_77 suggests we all make a radical change to how we park.
His idea? Park on the lines, not between them. The concept, his clip claims, would guarantee that everyone has an equal amount of space when getting out of their car in a parking lot.
“See how evenly spaced they are?” the TikToker asked while showing a row of cars all parked on the driver’s-side line of their spot. “Imagine if everyone at Walmart parked on the lines.”

The idea seemed to resonate with many TikTok commenters.
“Bruh! Genius!” one user wrote.
“The parking spots look twice as big,” another agreed.
Others, however, questioned the point of @bigbruva_77’s video. Many argued that it would be virtually impossible to change how everyone parks their cars.
“There’s not enough common sense for this to happen,” one commenter wrote.
“Yo people can’t even park inside the lines, you expect them to park on it?” another added.
