‘The Voice’ Just Named Its Season 14 Winner (& Blake Shelton Lost a Bet)

Move over, American Idol champ Maddie Poppe. Now, The Voice has crowned a new winner.

During last night’s season 14 finale, Kelly Clarkson took home her first win with 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli. Not only did the “I Don’t Think About You” singer make history with a “W” during her inaugural season as a coach, but she also produced the youngest champion to date. Just let that sink in.

Cartelli beat out Britton Buchanan (Team Alicia Keys) for the coveted title. Spensha Baker and Kyla Jade, who were both coached by Blake Shelton, rounded out the top four.

Although we can’t say we’re surprised by Clarkson’s win, we can only imagine how Shelton feels. The two coaches sat down for a radio interview with KIIS FM at the beginning of the season and revealed they placed bets on whose team will take home the victory.

Clarkson said, “We’ve made a bet, we’ve shook hands. When I win he has to call me Queen Kelly Clarkson—yes queen, no queen. And if I lose, I have to shut up for five minutes.”

Queen Kelly Clarkson has an awfully nice ring to it, don’t you think?
