Let me take you back to 2013. "Wrecking Ball" was playing on the radio, The Office was coming to an end, and Justin Bieber was having a very public meltdown. It's hard to forget the *year in Bieber* since it was all over the news. The singer peed in a bucket at a restaurant, tried to illegally bring his pet monkey into Europe (it was detained at the airport because Justin didn't have the proper paperwork), and he was caught visiting a brothel in Brazil.

Don't remember that last one? Well yes, it did happen, right around the time that Justin is now saying was very hard for him. In an interview with Vogue, Justin admitted that he was addicted to Xanax during this time. "I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed," he said in the article. "I think there were times when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing."

But that wasn't Justin only vice, he also admitted to having "a legitimate problem with sex," which lead us to that fateful day in November 2013. The then-19-year-old singer was seen leaving a Brazilian brothel with two women after spending more than three hours there. Justin was escorted out of the building, covered in bed sheets bearing the brothel's logo. You can see some hilarious pics of the ordeal here. And while his face is covered, his identity was confirmed thanks to the tattoos covering his arms.

Justin's Brazilian adventures didn't end there. He was later allegedly kicked out of his hotel for partying and doing drugs, and reportedly making a mess of the room in the process. He also came under police investigation after spray painting the wall of a hotel in an upscale part of Rio de Janeiro. Safe to say, he probably hasn't returned to the country since.

Luckily, Justin has made it past these hard times, and five years later, he is married and over his addictions. While the marriage has proven to bring other problems into his life, at least he says the drugs are behind him
