‘Walk, click, let ’em lick,’ Louisiana solution for dog days of summer
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On a hot day in New Orleans City Park, with a saxophone serenade, Dexter Blanch was out and about.
He was out and about with his dog Ralph.
Walking the dog.
And as WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood sees, Dexter is also watering the dog.
Under the unstoppable Louisiana sun, Dexter knows that hydration is also salvation.
Dexter figures, that if he needed a drink, his dog Ralph was also ready to belly up to the bar.
That’s why Dexter invented what he calls The Hydro Leash.
It’s like a leash with a water fountain connected to it.
No more water bottles, no more water bowls, no more stopping.
Just more walking the dog.
On National Dog Day, Monday, Aug. 26.
And every day.
