Walmart Just Brought Back a Fan-Favorite Fall Bakery Item, and Shoppers Are Going Wild
As the summer season comes to a close, can you really blame anyone for diving head first into their favorite fall flavors? Though, of course, it's still August, I — along with many others — stand firm in the belief that you don't need a calendar to tell you what season it is. Instead, you can just rely on Starbucks to do so by releasing their coveted fall menu. Even 7-Eleven has jumped on the bandwagon with an early release of their very own Pumpkin Spice Latte. With all of these early release though, it begs one big question: Has this been our shortest summer yet?

While everyone is seemingly on the edges of their seats in anticipation of cooler weather and stylishly layered outfits, Walmart is also in the mood to get summer out of the way as they just announced the return of their infamous Pumpkin Cake Roll. Hoping to capitalize on our collective love of amber-colored leaves and cool crisp air, this beloved pumpkin dessert is sold under the Freshness Guaranteed private label and will only cost you a cool $5.23. Weighing in at 18-ounces, the roll features a buttercream filling with a powdered sugar coating and is a great way to have a delicious fall dessert without breaking the bank.
Since 2013, the Pumpkin Cake Roll has been a fan-favorite amongst customers, with Walmart bringing it back every fall season and customers raving online in support. The “not overly sweet” and plump nature of the cake makes it an easy choice when deciding what to bring to your next family get together, and — if you can’t finish it entirely — can be stored in the freezer until you're ready for more. Is this perfection or what?
So, if you were already planning on checking to see if your local Walmart implemented their upcoming free sample stations, here's a delicious excuse to hit the bakery section and pick up a Pumpkin Cake Roll while you're at it.
