Walmart+ subscribers can now get discounts at Burger King
(NEXSTAR) – Walmart+ has announced a “first-of-its-kind” partnership with Burger King to provide its subscribers with discounts on the fast-food chain’s flame-grilled Whoppers and oblong chicken sandwiches.
“We’re confident our members will welcome the additional savings, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with a trusted brand like Burger King to offer this benefit,” Venessa Yates, the senior vice president and general manager of Walmart+, said in a statement included with Thursday’s press release.
The deal, which is currently in effect, gives Walmart+ subscribers a 25% discount on all digital Burger King orders placed through the Burger King app or official website. Subscribers must first link their Walmart+ and Burger King Royal Perks accounts beforehand, and then select the deal from the BK “offers” tab, according to Walmart.
Discounted orders can be redeemed once per day from participating restaurants. They are also “not valid with any other coupons or offers,” according to Burger King. (Full terms and conditions can be found at the Burger King website.)
In addition to the 25% off deal, Walmart+ subscribers will also be entitled to a free Whopper once every three months, but only with a digital purchase.

Walmart, in its press release, said the deal was “designed to save members time and money, catering to their fast-paced lifestyles where grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking may not always be feasible.” And while many Walmart+ members indicated their excitement over the deal on social media — with some calling it “legit” or a “huge deal” — at least some felt Walmart should instead offer a discount on fresh foods or groceries.
On X, a critic of the partnership stated that they’d “rather more grocery saving perks,” while another urged Walmart and BK to “just lower the prices.” And one of the only commenters under Walmart Corporate’s X post announcing the perk proposed “a 2% discount on natural foods, like fresh produce, eggs, meat, etc.,” instead of a fast-food discount.
A representative for Walmart did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the reactions to Thursday’s announcement.
Walmart’s Walmart+ subscription costs $12.95 per month, or $98 per year. The current subscription includes free delivery and free shipping for online orders, savings on gas purchases and a Paramount+ streaming subscription, among other perks.
