Walmart's new store brand Bettergoods is the biggest private-label food launch for the retailer in decades, and the items run the gamut from seasonings to plant-based cheeses to Italian bronze-cut pasta and antibiotic-free chicken nuggets.
Designed to appeal to a younger customer base, bettergoods features stylized, colorful packaging that gives Trader Joe's-meets-Tarjhay vibes. And because inflation (and greed-flation) is real, it's a good option for customers who want to save some precious cash.
“Today’s customers expect more from the private brands they purchase — they want affordable, quality products to elevate their overall food experience," Walmart's senior VP of private brands, foods and consumables Scott Morris said in a statement. "The launch of bettergoods delivers on that customer need in a meaningful way. Bettergoods is more than just a new private brand. It's a commitment to our customers that they can enjoy unique culinary flavors at the incredible value Walmart delivers."
