Australia is the world's largest island country continent.

And it's filled with so many waves.

With empty waves in mind, Wade Carmichael and Letty Mortensen drove 5000km in search of little-known wedges along a raw and rugged coastline that's notorious for more sharks in the water than people.

This sort of camping/surf trip definitely isn't for everyone.

In fact, it's not for many people at all.

Click play above to watch Carmichael and Mortensen go feral in the Australian bush. While the wedges they find make their grueling adventure worth it, the journey probably isn't worth the waves for most surfers.

Which is exactly how local surfers want to keep it.
