Watch this Awesome Clip of a Surfer Sharing a Wave with Bottlenose Dolphins

When it comes to sea life, sharks have really been stealing the show lately. And it's understandable, since there's been a hell of a lot of amazing shark footage thanks to photographers and there drones.

But we're lucky enough to get footage of the other animals surfers hang around, and sometimes even share waves with too.

For instance, an Australian photographer recently got some amazing footage of a mother Southern Right whale and her calf cruising around a lineup. Then there was the lone penguin swimming around surfers in Brazil.

The clip above was shared on X, aka Twitter, and shows some pretty amazing footage of a lucky surfing sharing a wave with bottlenose dolphins.

The footage shows a surfer going frontside on a left, giving him the perfect view of a pod dolphins riding the wave not very far in front of him.

The dolphins launch out of the waver consistently throughout the video staying super close to the surfer.

He raises his arms in amazement a few times, probably mind blown, and super stoked.

In other recent dolphin footage, one swam through a wave in a crowded lineup, burst through the water and launched into the air landing right in front of the surfer.

Then there was the paddleboarder who had a bottlenose dolphin slam right into him earlier this summer.

Bottlenose dolphins can weigh anywhere from 300 to 1,400 pounds. With a weight like that and the speed it was traveling at, that’s gotta hurt.
