Watch: The Best Wave in Indonesia on the Best Day of the Season

This is every surfers dream.

At least it is on paper.

But in reality?

Well, that's a whole 'nother story.

Imagine booking a 10-day boat trip through Indonesia, traveling across the globe to get there, and waking up to this wave on your first day. Are you paddling out?

For a group of guys on Praya Charters, that's exactly what happened earlier this year. 10/10 Greenbush on day 1. No warm-ups. Just straight into one of the heaviest (and arguably the best) barrels in Indo.

Some of the crew hit it without hesitation, and ended up streaking though some of the best barrels of their lives, which you'll see in the edit above.

And what about the crew that didn't paddle out? Well, they might be kicking themselves while watching this back now. But, it's always better to be safe than sorry on a boat trip in waves of consequence.

Because way out there, help is definitely not on the way.
