Watch: Cali Paddle Out Celebrates Mikala Jones

It's been less than a month since we lost Mikala Jones to a fatal surf injury in the Mentawais, and his friends, family, and the surf world at large are still trying to heal.

Services and a paddle-out first took place in Bali on July 17, and Canggu Beach was packed with people celebrating the beloved surfer and family man.

On Friday, another paddle-out took place in Huntington Beach, where a crowd of people paddled out to honor and celebrate Jones.

Aaron Pai, founder of Huntington Surf and Sport, captioned the clip above:

The post shows close to a couple hundred people in the water along with a boat and jetski, celebrating Jones and cheering after what sounds like a Hawaiian chant.

Jones was cremated in Bali where services also took place. The Oahu native and his family resided there during his time living in Indonesia.

His daughter, Isabella Jones, helped spread the word for the Huntington Beach gathering, and according to the post, it appears that notable industry people including Taylor Knox, Bob Hurley, Kaipo Guerrero, Greg Long, and Duke Aipa attended.

Comments included:

"So beautiful ??"

"Beautiful celebration for one of the kindest humans I ever met.??"

"Legend ??????," wrote Taylor Knox.

"Amazing tribute for an amazing human????"

"???? ?? ??"

"????????"

"?????????? Blessings of loving kindness & peace"

"RIP BRADAH"
