Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Pop a 'Silly Putty' Cyst Near a Patient's Eye
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper pops a Silly Putty-like cyst near an elderly patient’s eye.
The growth Dr. Lee pops out pliable and soft, just like the stretchy goop from your childhood.
Dr. Lee doesn’t share a diagnosis for the growth, but it appears to be a chalazion or meibomian cyst, which are commonly located on the eyelids.
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—pops a Silly Putty-like cyst near an elderly patient’s eye. The growth, which is among sensitive skin and delicate wrinkles, is soft and pliable, just like the stretchy goop from your childhood.
The pop is set to an iconic Frank Sinatra song titled “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.” How entirely fitting?
In the clip, Dr. Lee makes an incision into the growth, careful not to disturb the sensitive eye area, especially on an older patient. Dr. Lee then uses her fingers to squeeze out the growth, which comes out in a stubborn but satisfying pop.
After removing the growth, Dr. Lee presses it between her finger. It seems oddly pliable, like Silly Putty.
“That’s disgustingly beautiful to watch,” one fan commented. Well, that’s certainly one way to look at it.
Dr. Lee doesn’t reveal a diagnosis for the growth, but it appears to be a chalazion or meibomian cyst, which are commonly located on the eyelids, according to Harvard Medical School. These growths tend to be made up of a mixture of oil and mucus, forming when glands or ducts neat the eye become blocked.
