Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Pop a Giant Yellow 'Brain' Out of a Patient's Arm
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper removes a yellow “brain” from a patient’s arm while the patient watches the entire time.
Dr. Lee pops the sizable lipoma out a large incision with a firm squeeze.
Lipomas are benign tumors made up of fat tissue that are painless, though they can grow to be quite large.
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper — aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD — removes a sizable lipoma resembling a yellow “brain” from a patient’s arm while the patient watches the entire procedure. The patient calmly chats and cracks jokes during the removal, comparing her own lipoma to a brain. The video is quiet gut-churning, so the jury is still out whether your brain can handle this one.
In the video, Dr. Lee uses her finger to loosen the lipoma from the women’s arm, forgoing traditional surgical tools. Then, with a firm squeeze, she pops the large lipoma out like the pro she is.
“Oh, cool!” the patient exclaims when the growth emerges. “It’s a brain! Doesn’t it look like a brain? Look, the frontal lobe...”
She’s not wrong. The growth does appear to have two distinct “lobes” like a brain. The only difference is the distinct yellowish color of the lipoma, which is the color of most fatty tissue on the body.
A lipoma is a benign tumor made up of fat tissue, and the growths are actually most commonly found in men. Lipomas are usually painless and commonly grow on the arms, back, and legs.
