Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Remove a Lipoma That Looks Like Patrick from 'SpongeBob'
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper removes a huge lipoma from a patient’s hip.
Fans say the jiggly pink growth looks like Patrick Star from SpongeBob SquarePants.
A lipoma is a fatty noncancerous growth that develops between the skin and muscle.
As SpongeBob SquarePants icon Patrick Star once (sort of) said, "We should take this lipoma, and push it somewhere else."
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—removes a huge lipoma from a patient’s hip. And the growth may just remind you of your favorite cartoon character.
In the clip, Dr. Lee makes a large incision across the length of the growth to expose the lipoma. She then uses her hands and fingers to pop out the massive growth, revealing the pink-colored jiggly mass. And this blob has legs! The growth's lobes make it look like this lipoma is ready to walk away.
One the lipoma is popped out, Dr. Lee uses surgical scissors to free the growth from internal structures. The lipoma is about the size of two large chicken breasts, but that’s not the comparison fans are making.
“It looks like Patrick from SpongeBob,” one fan wrote in response to the clip, gathering countless likes and agreeing comments. And to be honest, it truly does.
A lipoma is a fatty noncancerous growth that develops between the skin and muscle, and is usually a yellow, orange or pink color.
Is this a lipoma? No, this is Patrick.
