  • The cyst's cylindrical contents has reminded fans of everything from a pencil eraser to a bendy straw.

In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—squeezes out a stubborn cyst from a patient’s neck. The pop may just remind you of blowing wrappers off the end of a bendy straw at a restaurant. It's strange, but true.

In the clip, Dr. Lee uses a hole punch-like tool to remove a piece of skin to easily access the buried cyst. The famed derm then pushes around the incision to squeeze all of the white, chunky contents out. Once drained, Dr. Lee attacks the cyst’s sac wall, removing it entirely so the cyst will not return.

“I love how it comes out so cylindrical in the beginning,” one fan commented on the clip. Another fan described the growth as a “bendy straw,” while yet another described it as a "pencil eraser." It’s like looking at clouds. You never know what you’ll see.

The cyst featured in this video is likely an epidermoid cyst. This type of growth — which is often filled with skin cells and keratin — commonly occurs on the face, neck, and back.

Watch the video below for yet another reason to boycott plastic straws. You know, besides saving the turtles.
