Watch: Firing France...in July?

France's La Gravière is one of the great wonders of the surfing world.

Wedging out of deep water, La Gravière unloads a few feet off the sand, grinding and spitting and generally offering up the best beachbreak tubes in the world when the sand is right.

And the sand is definitely right, right now.

Still, we don't usually see clips like this one drop until September, when the Atlantic hurricane season is in full swing. July tubes are a rarity, but a welcome one at that.

"When La Gravière wakes up during the summer!," says the description alongside this clip on YouTube. "It wasn’t very good this winter, but it sure looks like the sand banks are in good shape....Are we in for a summer filled with tubes?"

Click play above to watch guys like Jeremy Flores, Benjamin Sanchis, and Joan Duru get more than their share of summer slabs.

With El Nino kicking into gear and throwing a wrench in weather patterns all around the world, is this a sign of what's to come for France this fall?
