Watch Kelly Clarkson React to Idea of Dating Pete Davidson
Since Kelly Clarkson is newly single, it was only a matter of time before she was asked about hitting the dating scene again.
The pop star has made it very clear that she’s an open book, honestly addressing her side of the divorce from ex Brandon Blackstock—from red flags for why she stayed in a "limited" marriage for far too long.
But during a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she looked towards the future as the talk show host brought up Clarkson’s romantic life, questioning if she’d ever consider dating Hollywood hunk Pete Davidson.
“How long will it be before I see you dating Pete Davidson?” Stern asked as Clarkson let out a hearty laugh before the shock jock doubled down saying it was a “premonition.”
“Here’s the thing,” Clarkson gushed, noting, “Pete is cute,” emphasizing, “and he’s funny.”
“That’s right, that’s what all the women say,” Stern confirmed.
“He’s cute and funny,” Clarkson reiterated, seemingly underscoring why the former SNL alum gets all the ladies, before clarifying, “I don’t picture us dating, no.”
When Stern questioned if the headline should be that she doesn’t want to date Davidson, Clarkson quickly chimed in, “Pete Davidson you are wonderful, but no, I’m not looking.”
For those who don’t know, Davidson—who is currently in a committed relationship with Chase Sui—has an extensive list of famous ex-girlfriends, including Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and Kaia Gerber.
We hope Davidson does call, however, so he can get booked on Clarkson’s talk show because that would be some top-notch content that we all deserve.
Stern then threw out another name of a recently-single male—Tom Brady.
“Here’s the thing, I have a lot of confidence, I’m a very confident woman. I don’t think I’d like to follow Gisele Bündchen,” she said before bursting into laughter again.
Ever the good sport, she also shot down the possibility of dating Arnold Schwarzenegger stating that it would be “intimidating” because she doesn’t work out enough.
Finally, when asked to double down on her celebrity crush so Stern could possibly make it happen, the “Because of You” crooner admitted that she falls for TV characters instead.
“I have crushes on like fake people,” she explained, naming Nathan Fillion’s Castle character as the top male lead to steal her heart.
