Watch Michelle Yeoh Lead a Seance in New ‘A Haunting in Venice’ Trailer
Hercule Poirot is returning to theaters, but this time he’s solving a supernatural mystery.
Kenneth Branagh’s beloved detective, created by mystery novelist Agatha Christie, will hit the big screen this fall in A Haunting in Venice. The movie tracks the fallout of a spooky séance and casts a decidedly supernatural spin on the traditional Poirot mystery.
“It’s the kind of story that tries to create that knot-in-the-stomach sensation and is really such fun to see with a big crowd in a theater,” Branagh told The Hollywood Reporter. “So I’m super happy that we are releasing a story like this in theaters. So, in that sense, it’s a return to embracing the idea of scary stories, be it thrillers, horror or some kind of genre blend.”
The movie is the latest in Branagh’s series of Poirot films from 20th Century Studios. It’s a star-studded franchise and features familiar faces, including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Michelle Yeoh. From plot details to the movie’s connection to the other Hercule Poirot films, here is everything we know so far about A Haunting in Venice.
