How to Watch the Olympics on TV, Cable, Online, Roku, for Free

Gymnast Simone Biles, swimmer Katie Ledecky, sprinters Sha’Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles and a host of other athletes will compete in the 33rd Summer Olympics kicking off with Opening Ceremonies this Friday, July 26, in Paris, France.

Although some sports started two days earlier, the 2024 games will officially kick off with a spectacular opening ceremony on the Seine River.

The opening ceremony will air on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET or 10:30 a.m. PT in the U.S.

Instead of the traditional parade of nations in a stadium, for the first time, each national athletes’ group will travel by boat down the Seine River through Paris, from the Austerlitz bridge to the Trocadéro, across from the Eiffel Tower.

Sports fans are looking forward to seeing the games brought back to their full glory, three years after the crowd-restricted 2021 COVID-delayed Tokyo Summer Olympics.

NBCUniversal will be the exclusive network for the Summer Olympics for the 10th straight time and about 10,000 athletes from around the world will compete, including nearly 600 Americans.
