Prince Harry helped record a song with Jon Bon Jovi at Abbey Road Studios today—and the Queen's Guard at Buckingham Palace found their own way to join in the fun.

The royal family's official Instagram account shared a video of the band performing a rendition of Bon Jovi's hits, including "Livin' on a Prayer," during the Changing of the Guard.

"During each ceremony The Queen’s Guard hands over responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace and St James’s Palace to the New Guard," the caption explained. "Today the band played a special medley of @bonjovi music to celebrate his collaboration with the @weareinvictusgames."

Harry and Bon Jovi's collaboration was first revealed on Harry and Meghan's Instagram last week, and today, fans learned how the project came together. Apparently it was Bon Jovi who approached Harry to work with the Invictus Games, an international sporting competition the Prince founded for wounded members of the armed forces.

"I finished the song, I thought I got it right. Truthfully on parallel course I thought, I want to send it to Harry for the Invictus Games because I was aware of the choir and to have real soldiers singing the song I thought would bring a lot of attention to the issue," Bon Jovi said.

"And so I just wrote him a letter and I said, ‘I’ve got this song, I’ve sung with your brother, I’ve met your father, your grandmother, your grandfather.’ And so I said listen to it and let me know and this is my idea. And so he said absolutely."
