Watch Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel Team Up for Moving Duet at Concert

The two rocked the stage for the start of their joint tour.

Rock legends Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel kicked off their co-headlining tour with the first concert in Inglewood, California, on March 10, stunning the audience with their performances.

The two performed their own sets, but thankfully, they also graced fans with a couple of duets, including a performance of the hit song “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around."

Nicks originally recorded the track with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1981. At the concert, Joel surprised the crowd when he came out singing the late Petty's part, and the audience went wild.

At the end of the performance, Nicks said, “Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Billy Joel,” and the two shared a hug before Joel went off stage.

The concert also featured another duet, with Nicks and Joel singing the latter's 1989 song, “And So It Goes.”

The momentous concert also featured an emotional moment for both Nicks and the fans, as the singer performed Fleetwood Mac's song "Landslide" as a tribute to band member Christine McVie, who passed away last November at the age of 79.

After the song finished, Nicks got visibly emotional and choked up, saying, “There’s really not much to say. We just will pretend that she’s still here. That’s how I’m trying to deal with it. Thank you for listening.”

While Joel and Nicks have both been major names in the music industry for decades, they didn't cross paths often, so it's great to see them work together now.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times recently, Joel spoke about how he first met Nicks about a decade ago at a Fleetwood Mac concert.

He said, "I just got to meet her backstage, but we’ve never worked together, even though we both kind of hit at the same time. So this’ll be a completely new thing for me.”

The duo has many more tour dates scheduled across the U.S. throughout the rest of 2023.
