Watch Two Big Great White Sharks Follow Stand Up Paddler

Surprise! More sharks.

This time it's two great white cruising around stand up paddlers.

The good news is that while we recently reported two shark attacks, no humans were injured in the making of this video.

The clip above was shot by ocean photographer and shark advocate, Scott Fairchild.

In it, we see a great white shark named Puck, following a stand up paddler in Southern California. Then another shark named Chapstick, who we've reported on recently, takes over.

Fairchild captioned the post:

"Great White sharks actively following a paddler!

"White sharks almost always come to look when a paddle boarder comes through, but it’s usually a just a quick U-turn and approach from behind before breaking off. Not today!

"This Great White, named Puck, followed and followed and followed. I was surprised to see such a consistent and rather focused attention on this one SUP. Then Chapstick suddenly showed up and took over the pursuit!

"Some of you are familiar with Chapstick, one of our larger local Whites this summer. Oddly, she showed the exact same behavior as Puck of actively following from behind without breaking off.

"I spoke with this gentleman, who believe it or not, was on a SUP for the very first time! Thus, wisely staying on his knees once he saw the sharks."

Fairchild told "Surfer" recently that he names the sharks he sees himself.

He likes to include a "did you know" with his posts for fun. Today's is:

"We’re still learning and frankly still don’t have a true grasp of understanding shark behavior in general, let alone the more rare and unusual behaviors, like bites on humans. Sharks can demonstrate individualistic behaviors both within a species and geographically. Any attempt to generalize shark behavior comes with serious limitations."
