Would You Wear a Bra Made Out of… Plastic?
Shein just gave the term “see-through” a whole new meaning! With everything from see-through pants to clear dresses and yes, even jeans, making their debut in 2017, the online fashion retailer is upping the ante even further, making a plastic version of our upper undergarments.
Say hello to the Adjustable Straps Clear Bra ($5). With not much to go on description-wise (the website simply calls it “sexy”), we must admit, we’re somewhat confused as to how, exactly, one’s supposed to wear this. Does it replace a nude bra, or is it meant for the boudoir only? Can it be worn over our regular undergarments? Beats us!
So far, the reviews aren’t exactly glowing — some say it’s not the greatest quality (one person compared it to water bottle material — ouch!), which is probably to be expected for $5, while others complained about the noise, which they said sounded “like [a] coke bottle or Pepsi bottle when crushed,” which could definitely make for some awkward situations. With sizes of XS-L, many others said the bra just didn’t fit.
If we’re being totally honest, this might be one trend we skip based on the presumed lack of comfort factor alone. Still, it’s… interesting no?
