Style Me Pretty

A Wedding for 12 in the South of France

The first teeny tiny wedding we featured was WAY back in 2008. It was famed photographer Elizabeth Messina's own nuptials and in my world it was GAME.CHANGING. Because it illustrated so beautifully just how luxurious and decadent a small wedding could be. That by trimming the guest list, you not only create an intimate, unbelievably special environment...you also get to spoil your guests rotten and design that dream wedding you've always envisioned. So when I saw this wedding, a philanthropic wedding gifted and crafted by Remi & Gold with photographs by Sophie Epton and beauty Tepeino Puntocom (full team of vendors listed below), I knew that you guys would fall in love as hard as I have. FULL GALLERY.

From Sophie Epton ...Summer in late June in the South of France. The sun shines brightly against the azure blue sky, the bees and butterflies buzz around, and everything is in bloom...including the lavender! On a gorgeous, warm Summer day near Saignon, France (the cutest Provence town you've ever seen) we had the pleasure of coming together with some of my greatest circle of vendors to provide our beautiful couple, Charlotte and Alex, with a wedding of their dreams.

Part of a philanthropic mission to make the wedding arena more accessible, we wanted to show that a couple could still have their dream wedding on a much smaller, more intimate scale - changing the wedding landscape.

Charlotte and Alex had started dating when she was still in school in the Luberon valley of Provence. Three years of falling in love later, you could feel the energy radiating between them. Charlotte's silver-hued BHLDN dress went perfect with the endless rows of lavender and beautiful bouquet created by Remi & Gold with native flowers from the area.

The wedding took place that afternoon at the most stunning wedding venue called the Abbaye Saint-Eusèbe - a 16th century stone abbey surrounded by green rolling hills, cypress trees, and yes.. A ton of lavender. We spent the afternoon getting ready, as Clari with Tepeino Puntocom worked her magic on Charlotte.

The ceremony took place in between magical rows of Cypress trees with a wedding of twelve of their closest as the sun started going down; it was the most wonderful, heartfelt expression of Charlotte and Alex.

Later, the guests gathered at a long Provencal table dotted with beautiful bouquets of local flowers and candlelight, and dined and drank the night away against the backdrop of the abbey. To have been a part of this incredibly special day and witness these two amazing souls get married after years of dating is a day I will never, ever forget.

An enormous thanks to the spectacular team of vendors who rallied around me to provide Charlotte and Alex with the most wonderful wedding day in the comfort of their stomping grounds. Vive La France!
