When Will Wednesday Season Two Be Released On Netflix?

It's approaching a year since Wednesday debuted on Netflix to roaring success with Jenna Ortega in the titular role.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wednesday follows Wednesday Addams' years as a student as she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree, and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents.

Inspired by The Addams Family, the show stole hearts and had people instantly demanding a second season to see what Wednesday would get up to next.

Well, fans will be pleased to hear that some fresh news landed about season two from Deadline, and here's what we know so far.

How long did Season One take to make?

Season one was filmed across seven months in Romania, beginning in September 2021 and wrapping in March 2022. The show hit Netflix in November 2022, eight months after filming ended.

When will Season Two hit Netflix?

Filming on season two is rumoured to begin in late April 2024 in Ireland. If they roughly follow the same timeline of season one, we can expect filming to wrap sometime in October 2024 and season two to land on Netflix in June 2025.

Of course, this is all speculative, and season two may move quicker than the first.

Season one scooped up 252 million views and twelve Emmy nominations, which means Netflix is probably keen to get the second season to the streaming service as soon as possible.
