Weekly Astrology Forecast, September 11-17: Finding Your Inner Mystic
This article originally appeared on Yoga Journal
This is one of those weeks that reminds you of the magic within. As you tend to your inner world, your outer reality will reflect that.
Mercury retrograde in Libra
The third Mercury retrograde of the year met us last week on September 9, 2022. It entered this phase from the balanced and partnership-oriented sign of Libra.
In astrology, Mercury is our mind. It is quick moving, just like our thoughts. It is also linear and logical, ruling over our communication and learning. The seemingly backward motion of Mercury retrograde also affects our minds and day-to-day lives.
The intention of Mercury retrograde isn't to simply bring havoc to our days, rather it is to allow us the time, space, and presence to intentionally choose the thoughts we allow, the steps we take, and the direction we take ourselves..
Libra is a zodiac sign that represents our relationships, whether romantic, friends, family, or work. We are in a collaboration with each person we interact with each day. Libra wants to balance these interactions and connections with equal giving and receiving, loving and being loved.
With Mercury retrograde in Libra, we may see the planet's themes play out in our relationships. It's a time to bring greater intention and presence to our relationships, an invitation to witness the energy dynamics occurring in our interactions, an opportunity to inquire. Do you feel nourished for all that you give? Is there a balance, a harmony, and an equality?
This is a beautiful time to let yourself ask questions, to ponder your intentions, to create enough space in your mind, heart, and life to either renew the energy within your connections and path forward with your loved ones, or to make changes, to let go of certain aspects within the self that are harmfully influencing your partnerships, or to lovingly bring any chapter to close that is ready for it.
Full Moon in Pisces
The Moon, according to astrology, speaks to our intuition. Not as something outside of us, but rather as an internal compass, an intuition that exists deep within our bodies--our hearts that speak to us, our guts that advise us, our knowing that comes from a reserve that exists somewhere beyond logic. She guides our every action.
The full Moon is a time of release, surrender, and the unknown. It is the culmination of the Moon's cycle. From here on, she will continue to release and wane until she is empty and ready to begin anew in two weeks time.
We’re still feelig the linger effects of the magical-feeling Pisces full Moon that took place on September 10, 2022. Pisces is a deeply intuitive sign. The final sign of the zodiac, it recalls that we are all interconnected, that we each carry a spark of the divine, and that we are all supported, held by, and moving with the flow of the Universe. It is the mystic within each of us.
Pisces lives in the realm of the boundless. It represents the blurring of lines between self and another, between self and all that is. Under this influence, there is less distinction between grounded and imagined, energy and matter.
The medicine within this boundless nature is our ability to see infinite potential, to be reminded of just how limitless we each are, and the expansive opportunity that surrounds us. When we use this gift, we begin to bridge the finite and infinite, the seen and unseen, the matter and energy.
After the Moon comes into her fullness, we can release the barriers, doubts, and disbeliefs we have in place that shift us away from boundless creation. We can use this to bring to a close any thoughts that would have us believe we are limited, that we are incapable, or that we are anything but worthy of our most abundant dreams. We can use this state of pure potential to manifest.
Your invitation
It's an internal week. A slow week. An intuitive week. A week that invites the whispers from within your body to become louder than the clamoring of what belongs to the outside world.
Revisit your past relationships, projects, or patterns and tie up loose ends, whether by bringing a refresh, reframe, or renewal to them or saying goodbye and letting them go.
Slow your mind and allow more space, time, and care to come into your thoughts, plans, and intentions. Question what you once thought was certain. This will allow you to choose again, pivot, or realign with a new direction--wholeheartedly this time.
The Full Moon holds the potential for beautiful healing. For emotional release. For inner nurturing. For a heightened connection with all that is and all that could be. It's a slightly mystical, dreamy, reconnect-to-self kind of week. Journal, breathe, lay on the grass and speak to the Earth. Light a candle in devotion to your self. Reflect on the path you are walking upon and the life you are creating. Bring an easy pace and presence to each moment. Forgive yourself and forgive others. Allow the steps you take to come from within. Choose your life.
