Your Weekly Tarot Card Reading, Based on Your Sign
You don’t need to be a tarot card pro to get your cards read. All you need: your Sun sign! Here’s what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality.
Basically, if your bank account is not ready for a full tarot reading just yet, this one should help tide you over for now!
A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: SIX OF SWORDS
The Six of Swords is all about moving on from a situation that's become difficult, draining or even toxic. It’s something you've dreaded having to face, and you’re worried it’s going to be really tough. But fear not! The Six of Swords brings hope and healing, and urges you to make this long-awaited move NOW. You’re ready, readier than you think you are, and it’s not going to be half as bad as you think. As soon as you commit to moving on, the healing can begin.
ARIES: TEN OF SWORDS
If the overall message of the week is "move on," then the Ten of Swords shouts that message even louder in your direction. This card is like a direct order from the universe to get the heck outta’ there! Cut your losses and GTFO as fast as you can. Whether this is about a relationship, a job, or your own behavior, identify what isn’t working and draw a line through it this week.
TAURUS: KNIGHT OF WANDS
A lil’ sexy summer romance is on the cards for you this week, Taurus (and, for loved up boos, a rekindling of those early flames of passion). The Knight of Wands reveals a super-fun, adventurous and lively Fire sign (Leo, Aries, Sagittarius) is crushing on you, or that your partner will soon feel a surge of loving feeling towards you that they want to express. Broadening your horizons will open up space for new love to flow into your life!
GEMINI: PAGE OF SWORDS
You’re a bit like the Page of Swords yourself, Gemmy: fickle, smart, cutting. You LOVE sitting on the sidelines and commenting on other people's lives. It’s fun and safe up there, but nothing is won from the peanut gallery. Now is the time to let yourself be vulnerable in the same way some of the people you judge are. If you wouldn't have the guts to do it yourself, side-eye a lil less.
CANCER: TEN OF WANDS
All work and no play make Cancerians go cray! The Ten of Wands is a warning card about overdoing it on the work front and not giving yourself time to relax, recover and rejuvenate. It’s vital that you schedule proper time to replenish your energy. Work will always be waiting for you, but only you can set the pace and volume which you’re comfortable with. Adjust your settings, and you'll feel a lot better.
LEO: JUSTICE
This is a potent card, so expect significant events to unfold. A situation where you feel you’ve been unfairly treated should magically resolve in your favor! The Justice card brings redemption and validation. However, there is also a message to be gracious here. You'll get the outcome you deserve, so no need to gloat any further.
VIRGO: FIVE OF WANDS
Ok, straight-up, people can be suuuuuch dicks. It doesn’t help that your Mercury-ruled disposition makes you super-perceptive of every little thing going on around you, and some of it is downright annoying. The Five of Wands sees you at odds with others rn, and it also provides some useful advice. Withdraw your emotional investment here, and try to see this situation logically. Then, plan your next move...but calmly.
LIBRA: KING OF CUPS
You’re a lover, not a fighter, and this week sees you in your romantic, charming element. The King of Cups is a social, passionate, attractive and warm character, making friends and drawing admirers everywhere…aka, it’s YOU. So, this week, make the most of your networks by socializing and reconnecting with people. There’s also career opportunity and advancement for you here as well!
SCORPIO: ACE OF CUPS
Follow your passions and desires through this week, wherever they may take you! Somehow your heart knows where you need to head, and it’s nudging you in that direction…so tune in. The Ace of Cups reveals something (or someone) new is going to enter your life–possibly a lover, A+ friend, or job that inspires you. Whatever it is, it has the potential to renew your appreciation for life itself, so be open-armed and welcoming to any news this week!
SAGITTARIUS: THE FOOL
You’re no stranger to controversy, because you literally have no filter when it comes to speaking your mind or following your instincts. Well, that experience will prove useful this week, as your passions are reigniting once again and compelling you to head off in a left-field direction that others might scoff at. Whatever! The Fool is the tarot’s patron saint of new beginnings, ones that feel deeply personal and exciting to you. So follow your gut and start anew… no matter what anyone says.
CAPRICORN: THE MOON
You’ve been fretting over something recently, but aren't even sure WHAT, just that something's off. Well, The Moon reveals that you have been subject to a mystery or secret which will finally reveal itself this week. Whatever you discover, breathe a sigh of relief because its insidious hold over your psyche is now over, and you can handle whatever needs handling. Welcome the revelations–NOW you can deal with it head on.
AQUARIUS: EIGHT OF WANDS
Brace yourself for a whirlwind week. The Eight of Wands is the tarot’s communication card, revealing that new news, invites and opportunities will be flying at you left, right and center. The only drawback is that they all come at once, and from unexpected sources, requiring immediate responses. Clear the decks so you can handle the incoming chaos, because you won’t want to miss out on any of this.
PISCES: SEVEN OF SWORDS
Keep your own counsel this week, and play your cards closer to your chest than usual. The Seven of Swords shows up when we need to deploy some caution and prudence, because not everyone around us is as wholesome as we are. Some people can be jealous, or like to undermine others. You’re too nice to expose yourself to this kind of shenanigans, so just keep yourself to yourself and let the haters pass on by.
