The Weeknd gets affectionate with Justin Bieber's former flame
Justin Bieber and the Weeknd certainly seem to have the same taste in women. Fresh off his split with Selena Gomez, the “Starboy” crooner was spotted getting cozy with Bieber’s former fling, Yovanna Ventura, twice in the past week.
The singer, 27, and Ventura, 21, first appeared affectionate on Thursday night, according to multiple reports, at French Montana’s birthday bash in Beverly Hills. “The Weeknd was there hand-in-hand with Yovanna Ventura all night,” a source claimed to Us Weekly. “They arrived together. They were holding hands. He was there for a solid two hours with her and everywhere they went they held hands.”
A second source alleged to the magazine, “He was parading her around. He was trying to make it obvious that he was with someone. They were pretty affectionate and were together the entire night.”
The pair went out again on Friday night as the Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) and the Miami model were photographed leaving the Hyde nightclub together.
A source tells E! News they are just having fun because the newly single singer isn’t looking to get tied down. “Abel is having a good time as a single dude. He is not taking any girl really seriously now,” a source claims. “He thinks Yovanna is a beautiful woman and cool to kick it with but nothing more. She is fun hanging out with.”
As for the hand-holding, the insider says it’s no big deal: “Abel overall is an affectionate dude whether it’s his girlfriend or not. He has always been the romantic type.”
Bieber, 23, and Ventura dated in 2014. Now the “Friends” singer is busy winning Selena Gomez back. The Weeknd and Gomez split in October after 10 months of dating, and within weeks she was already back hanging with Bieber.
Gomez and Bieber dated on and off from 2010 to 2015, and they appear to be back on. “They are great and very happy,” a source told People last week of their rekindled romance, adding the pair has “agreed to stay more low-key.”
Guess there are no more flashy and flirty bike rides for Jelena in our future.
