Wendy's Brings Back Fan-Favorite Frosty Flavor for a Limited Time Only
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - FEBRUARY 07: Wendy’s scored big with fans at Rolling Stone’s fifth annual Big Game Bash in San Francisco by keeping the festivities going late into the night serving fresh, made-to-order Dave’s Single hamburgers and Frosty desserts. Even Actress AnnaLynne McCord and Comedian J. B. Smoove stopped by the Wendy's food truck for a deliciously different hamburger before calling it a night at San Francisco Design Center on February 7, 2016 in San Francisco, California. The Vanilla Frosty is finally back on the menu, but it may not stick around for long.
Wendy's announced the sweet treat's return on Twitter on Jan. 8, 2024, in their typically unhinged social media voice, writing, "sometimes a vanilla frosty after 8 months is enough to stop the voices."
A representative for the brand confirmed the news in an email to Today.com, telling the publication, “Even Frosty treats need a little Frosty time away...Vanilla Frosty is officially BACK from vacay & on menus nationwide today! She’s a classic, she’s a star and she’s finally BACK from her tasty travels...for a limited time. ???? .”

The classic flavor was temporarily booted from the lineup to make room for seasonal flavors Strawberry, Pumpkin Spice, and Peppermint, and, after eight long months, makes its triumphant—though likely also temporary—return.
We can only assume that, come the summertime, it'll be stepping aside once again to make room in the machines for some variety—after all, it's the spice of life.
If you'd like the opportunity to get your hands on this simple yet delicious dessert, it's not too late to pick up an unlimited Frosty tag for the year. Through Feb. 14, and for just $3, consumers can pick up a physical or digital tag, which can be presented with one purchase a day for a free Jr. Frosty through Dec. 21, 2024. Less than three redemptions will have you breaking even, seeing as a Jr. Frosty goes for 99 cents, so it's an excellent way to get a taste of every flavor offered throughout the year—not to mention contribute to Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a nonprofit organization that helps find safe, permanent and loving homes for children in foster care, which benefits from the sale of each tag.
