Wendy's has o-fish-ally brought back one of its fan-favorite menu items, just in time for spring!
The fast food chain revealed that its Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich is making a grand comeback, returning to menus nationwide on Monday, Feb. 12.
In a recent blog post, the eatery noted that the delicious option has "earned a strong, dedicated fan base over the years"—so they're giving the people what they want by bringing it back for fish sandwich lovers as seafood season quickly approaches.
The Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich remains the same as in previous years, featuring a Wild Caught Alaska Pollock fillet coated in crispy panko breading, topped with lettuce, a slice of American cheese, pickles, and creamy dill tartar sauce, all served on a Wendy's premium bun.
The "savory" item with a "craveable flavor profile" complimented by garlic and onion, is said to be comprised of buttery and flaky, white Wild Caught Alaskan Pollock from the "world’s largest certified sustainable fishery," as the brand notes they take part in "responsible food-sourcing" practices.
Wendy's fish sandwich coming back around this time of year annually is something its customers look forward to, though they must move fast, as it's only offered for a limited time at a price of around $6.16.
Global Vice President of Culinary Innovation John Li also noted that it is customizable, and pairs nicely with an order of the fast food joint's Hot & Crispy Garlic Fries, along with a good old-fashioned Coca-Cola Coke beverage.
The news of the returning fish sandwich comes on the heels of the announcement that the brand is also debuting a brand new Frosty flavor in March: Orange Dreamsicle.
