Who Went Home and Who Made It Through Night 4 on 'The Voice' Battles
Al Boogie, Ruby Leigh
It was night four of the Battles on Season 24 of The Voice and coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan once again paired their teammates for the Battles they would face before deciding who was moving on to the three-way Knockouts and who they were sending home.
Of course, there are still several Steals remaining in play. Gwen Stefani has used both of hers for Tanner Massey from Team Niall and CORii from Team Reba, Reba used one of her two Steals to get Jacquie Roar on her team, and John used his to land Mac Royals. That means that Reba and John each have one Steal left and Niall has both of his.

Battle Round 1: Al Boogie vs Ruby Leigh from Team Reba
Song: “Jolene” by Dolly Parton
Winner: Ruby Leigh
Reba said: “It was a very hard decision because I love Al’s singing, Al’s tone, everything about it. It’s just that Ruby has something totally different. Sixteen years old, she’s so talented. We need people like Ruby that brings a little bit of the past of country music forward. I think America’s going to fall in love with Ruby just like I did.”
Battle Round 2: Joslynn Rose vs RUDI from Team Gwen
Song: “My Immortal” by Evanescence
Winner: RUDI
Gwen said: “RUDI and Josslyn was a tough one. RUDI knows when to do a trick and when not to. She’s very tasteful with the way she uses her voice. I had to go with RUDI because I think she’s ready for what’s to come in the competition.”

Battle Round 3: Noah Spencer vs Reid Zingale from Team Niall
Song: “Lego House” by Ed Sheeran
Winner: Noah Spencer
Niall said: “I really didn’t have a clue what I was going to do. Noah showed me today that he can sing just about anything. He called himself a country guy but he basically stood up here today and sang a pop song. Any artist that can stand up here and try something that’s not in his wheelhouse will stand out for me.”
Battle Round 4: Azán vs Taylor Deenen from Team Legend
Song: “Do It” by Chloe x Halle
Winner: Taylor Deenen
John said: “I loved Taylor and Azán’s performance. They had the moves, they had the look, just everything was right. But Taylor as a vocalist is just stunning.”
Steal: Azán
Both Niall and Reba pressed their button to Steal Azán, but she chose Niall.
Niall said, “I pressed that Steal button for Azán because there was no way I was allowing that girl to leave this competition. It would have been a travesty with a voice that good and a stage presence that good to have left the competition in the Battles.”

Battle Round 5: Alexa Wildish vs LVNDR from Team Niall
Song: “Everything I Wanted” by Billie Eilish
Winner: Alexa Wildish
Niall said: “LVNDR is an incredible artist but Alexa has something different. She can portray emotion in a song like nobody else in the competition. She literally had tears in her eyes during that song today. I’ve got a feeling we’re going to see a magical moment from Alexa in the Knockouts.”
Battle Round 6: Jenna Marquis vs Claire Heilig from Team Gwen
Song: “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus
Winner: Jenna Marquis
Gwen said: “I had to go with Jenna because she just has the most stature and self-identity, I cannot wait to work with Jenna in the Knockouts. I think she has a lot of potential."
Battle Round 7: Kaylee Shimizu vs Elizabeth Evans from Team Legend
Song: “traitor” by Olivia Rodrigo
Winner: Kaylee Shimizu
John said: “Kaylee and Elizabeth is one of the best battles we’ve seen. Kaylee is just 17, but my God, she can do anything, crazy range. I feel like Kaylee could win The Voice. She’s that good and I couldn’t send her home.”
Steal: Elizabeth Evans by Reba
Reba said: “Elizabeth was incredible. I had to use my Steal for her. I remembered her from the Blinds and I really wanted her bad. She was supposed to be on my team. I loved her range, her tone, and I think it’s very important to have someone who really stands out.”
The Battles will continue Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET/PT when The Voice returns to NBC.
