Who Went Home Tonight on 'The Bachelor' as Feud Heats Up Between Bullying Beauties
Joey Graziadei
The Bachelor episode 3 featured Golden Bachelor ladies guest judging a pageant, a revealing one-on-one date, and a continuing feud between two beauties.
Monday’s show flashed forward in its opening with Joey Graziadei telling his women that the controversy that had erupted between Maria and Sydney had him worried about bullying.
Then host Jesse Palmer told Joey’s remaining 18 gals that there would be two group dates and one romantic one-on-one this week.

What happened on the first group date?
Edwina, Kelsey A., Lexi, Allison, Madina, Chrissa, Lea, Sydney, and Maria would help Joey look for his “Mrs. Right.”
That entailed visiting a theater, where Joey announced Gerry Turner’s beloved Golden Bachelor “ASKN” ladies—April Kirkwood, Susan Noles, Kathy Swarts, and Nancy Hulkower—would be joining them.

The younger women cheered but were worried when Kathy said they’d be participating in a pageant, and Susan added that there would be a live audience.
Lea had zero pageant experience, while Sydney said she was a former Miss Massachusetts USA.
The girls modeled lounge wear in the pageant in jammies and nightgowns.
Susan noted, “They all have their individual charm.”
The ASKN ladies asked the women pointed questions, including if Sydney had ever “faked it” in the bedroom. She said yes.
When Kelsey A. was asked what would happen if she and Joey were trapped in an elevator, she replied, “We could make some new memories,” and his eyes lit up.
Showing talent, Edwina performed her own song for Joey, Chrissa tried to play a trumpet, and Maria did splits and a cartwheel. The audience gave Sydney tepid applause for leading a tuneless cheer, “Mrs. Right, that’s me!”
But Lexi stole the show by boasting to Joey that she’d been told she was a great kisser and wanted Joey’s feedback. They engaged in a steamy makeout session in front of the others.
Joey huddled with ASKN and then chose Lexi as his winner.
The other women were upset that Lexi got the prize for smooching Joey!
Edwina noted, “Kissing is not a talent.”
But Joey praised his effortless connection with Lexi and they kissed again.
He also shared makeout time with Kelsey A. and affirmed their chemistry.
Maria told Joey boldly, “I have a bone to pick with you,” because it was supposed to be a talent show, “not a kissing contest.”
Joey said he hadn’t been looking for a special talent, and told Maria he wanted to know more about her.
Asked about the house conflict, which began on last week’s episode, Madina told Joey she was in a sticky spot, but when pressed, she mentioned her age controversy and admitted, “I felt like I was being bullied.”
But she refused to tell Joey which woman had bullied her.
Joey gave the group date rose to Kelsey A.
He also made the women worried when he raised the bullying claims and said it scared him.
Madina assured Maria she hadn’t mentioned her by name to Joey.
“You started this,” Maria told Sydney.
“You are catty,” Sydney snapped at her.
Maria said she was confused by the drama, but Sydney extended it by storming away from the group, claiming it was “a negative environment.”
Edwina felt Sydney was blowing things out of proportion and Maria was a straightforward person.
Maria sobbed to cameras that the feud “hurts me.”
However, Maria and Madina agreed they were cool with each other and fist-bumped.
Who got the one-on-one date?
Jenn felt like she was in a dream to have private time surfing with The Bachelor.
“We just click in a lot of ways,” Joey said in confessional. “Our lips just fit perfectly together.”
They kissed on the beach after surfing and then met for a sit-down dinner.
Jenn confided during the date that she’d been in a few bad relationships and her parents’ marriage was bizarre.
According to Jenn, her folks fought all the time, slamming doors and throwing things. Jenn felt lost about the situation and her dad ended up “sleeping in the basement for six years.”
She felt “unwanted by my dad. My dad is not a part of my life anymore.”
Joey told the cameras sympathetically, “I feel for Jenn.”
The beauty assured Joey she was ready for a relationship and they kissed at the table.
The two were treated to a light show with a rose design projected in the sky and the words, “Jenn, will you accept this rose?”
She said yes amid more kisses from Joey.
How did the second group date go?
Katelyn, Autumn, Rachel, Daisy, Evalin, Kelsey T., Starr, and Jess got the card for a tennis competition.
Joey, a tennis pro, was in his element introducing the group to his guest coaches, tennis legends James Blake and Pam Shriver.
In the first ever “Bachelor Open,” the gals donned funny costumes to play doubles tennis matches.
Starr and Rachel, dressed as hot dog and bun, beat Autumn and Daisy, dressed as babies.
The “lobster and butter” team, Evalin and Kelsey T., routed Jess and Katelyn, who were costumed as a bee hive.
What did Katelyn and Rachel reveal to Joey?
Radiochemist Katelyn grabbed some private time with Joey at the post-tennis cocktail party and confided that she has a “family curse.”
Katelyn told Joey that all the women in her family are single, including her mom and five aunts.
Joey raved that Katelyn was smart and beautiful and “doesn’t need a man to feel validated.”
Later, Joey gave Katelyn the group date rose!
Rachel told Joey he reminded her of her father in his respectful ways.
“My mom’s never touched a door handle,” Rachel noted of her dad.
How did Joey and Daisy connect again?
The blonde with hearing loss who wears a cochlear implant continues to look like a Bachelor front runner, and Monday night’s episode showed them getting even closer.
Daisy asked Joey if he wanted to touch her cochlear implant, and he did.
“It makes you special, not different,” the hunk assured Daisy, who kissed him.
Were Maria and Sydney still feuding?
Big time!
Sydney vowed to Lea that she would tell Joey the truth about Maria.
Instead of the cocktail party the women expected, Joey announced a pool party with food from KFC.
Sydney sniped to others about Maria some more, and then tattled on the brunette in a private chat with Joey.
“She verbally attacked me. Called me embarrassing, weird, and dumb,” Sydney told The Bachelor.
In confessional, Joey said he trusted Sydney but also had loved what he’d seen so far from Maria.
Sydney told cameras Maria “deserves to go home.”
Joey took Maria aside and asked about the controversy, telling her he’d heard she was attacking and cursing out other ladies.
Maria denied it and said, “I have been bullied (myself), and this is just not it.”
“It stemmed from nothing,” Maria insisted to Joey.
Joey needed time to think and walked away from the pool party, leaving the other women frustrated they hadn’t been able to talk to him.
Maria told the others, “I have no idea where I stand.”
Who did Joey pick tonight at the rose ceremony?
With Kelsey A. and Katelyn holding the group date roses, and Jenn with the one-on-one rose, Joey had to choose 12 more women.
The hunk gave roses, in order, to: Lexi, Lea, Kelsey T., Rachel, Madina, Daisy, Jess, Edwina, Autumn, Allison, Maria, and Sydney.
Both of the feuding women lived to see another week.
