Jess Girod calls her ending ‘confusing’ while Aly Jacobs says it was ‘sad.’

Jess Girod and Aly Jacobs were eliminated on Monday night’s The Bachelor in very different ways.

While Jess and Zach came to a mutual agreement that she would leave over her disappointment at not getting a one-on-one date, Aly simply didn’t receive a rose at episode 6’s conclusion.

At a recent press conference with Parade, the two women talked about their experiences.

How did Jess feel about how things ended with Zach?

Jess melted down during the Estonia-based episode because she realized she was the last gal not to have shared a one-on-one date with Zach.

“It’s not about that,” Zach insisted on Monday’s episode, but Jess countered, “A one-on-one is a big deal. I don’t know where your head’s at.”

Zach then admitted he felt a “disconnect” with her, so Jess said she wouldn’t fight it and boarded the van for home!

During an interview afterwards, however, the young blonde, 23, took the high road, saying, “Zach was so great at listening to my fears. I am a little bit nervous.”

Jess added, “In our conversations, he constantly reassured me with that and made me so comforted and it’s okay to be who I am and I’m still lovable. That’s why it was so confusing and hard [to leave] because it was kind of a shift. In all of our private conversations, he did constantly reassure me and made me feel kind of safe in a way.”

How has Jess used Taylor Swift’s music for comfort?

During a group date in Estonia, Jess mentioned she was a Taylor Swift fan. In her exit interview, Jess elaborated, “I was going through a break up long before the show but just kind of learning to love myself. When I was on the plane [to go start The Bachelor], I actually played this song ‘Being Again’ [by Taylor Swift] 52 times, on Spotify rap. It was my song of like, I’m going to fall in love again and this is my start. To me, it was my sign of, I’m finally putting myself out there. I was so scared to for so long. Even after the show, that’s one of my favorite songs and I’ll never stop fighting for love and what I deserve.”

What did Aly learn from her Bachelor run?

Aly went skydiving with Zach in an exciting one-on-one date earlier this season, and she told Parade.com about being on the show, “It was definitely eye-opening. I learned a lot about myself and…how I desire to receive love and what I want from a man in the future.” She experienced “a lot of learning and self-growth.”

Was Aly’s ending rough?

Zach left Aly rose-less in the ceremony, and as she departed, she cried to cameras, “I thought he was incredible. It doesn’t feel good.”

Aly told Parade, “I definitely was sad. I’m definitely a person where my emotions don’t hit me [right away]. I like to cry on my pillow.”

She said, “I think saying goodbye to him, I was just hopeful and excited that he still gets to continue and find his person and I love the ladies that were still there. But I think in the car it hit me that I also just got broken up with. He wasn’t going be mine.”

Was Aly surprised Zach sent her home?

“I thought things were going great,” Aly said. “I think I was cautiously confident throughout this. I felt really good. We didn’t really have conversations about things not being good but at the same time, every time there’s a rose ceremony there’s someone going home and that’s always difficult.”

What was the hardest part about Aly’s Bachelor days?

Aly admitted that she suffered from post one-on-one date blues, in which others also got private time and came back “super giddy and you’re like, that date went really really well. ‘You’re smiling a little too big’ so it’s definitely difficult. I feel like you’re more in your head afterwards…You’re like, am I doing enough? Should I be doing more? I needed constant assurance and validation just so that I didn’t go stir crazy.”

What has Aly been doing since The Bachelor ended?

After taking two weeks off to decompress, Aly is back at work. “I work at a children’s hospital so I’m super excited to be back and people at my job do watch the show so it is strange because I go to work like everybody else and work my 9 to 5," she told Parade. "It’s weird to get on an elevator and they look at me and I look at them and I’m like, ‘Yeah. It just aired Monday. I kissed a boy.’ ”
