  • Beyoncé appears to be a no-show at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

  • The superstar is up for four awards this year, including Best Pop Solo Performance.

  • She last attended the annual ceremony in 2018.

Where is Beyoncé?

As stars and musicians filed onto the red carpet for the 2020 Grammy Awards, Queen Bey was nowhere to be seen, much to the disappointment of her fans. It's unclear why the singer is M.I.A. tonight—or if she has a surprise appearance up her sleeve. She did attend pre-Grammy events this weekend, though, like the Roc Nation brunch and Clive Davis gala.

The 23-time Grammy winner was up for four awards this year: Best Pop Solo Performance for her song, "Spirit"; Best Pop Vocal Album for The Lion King: The Gift, which she made to accompany the 2019 Disney remake; Best Song Written for Visual Media, also for "Spirit"; and Best Music Film, for her Netflix documentary Homecoming, which she won before the official ceremony.

Beyoncé is no stranger to fashionably-late arrivals, though. When she lastappeared at the Grammys in 2018, she snuck into the ceremony late with her daughter Blue Ivy. (She even brought juice boxes for her little girl.) She did the same for the Golden Globes earlier this month, where she was nominated for Best Original Song. Could Bey be planning another late arrival for this year's Grammys?

Beyoncé wouldn't be the only nominated artist skipping this year's ceremony. Taylor Swift, who's up for three awards, is said to be missing the 2020 award show. She also reportedly pulled out of an unannounced performance.
