Caribou Coffee, a national premium coffeehouse and Panera Brands company, teamed for a new Caribou Cabin location that opened in Wooster in November.
The coffeehouse delivershandcrafted beverages and day-making experiences to guests. The location is owned and operated by Mike Mariola Restaurants.
“We are honored to partner with such a high-quality brand and one that is aligned with our company values," said Mike Mariola, founder of Mike Mariola Restaurants. "We are excited to bring Caribou Coffee to Ohio, especially in our hometown of Wooster.”
The Wooster Caribou Cabin, 1840 Cleveland Road, is open 5 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. It is just under 600 square feet with a “Cari-blue” exterior, according to Rachel Newbury, marketing director for Mike Mariola Restaurants.
Drive-thru and walk-up windows
It features drive-thru and walk-up windows as well as an outdoor patio. The compact design was engineered to scale efficiency and guest experience.
"Guests can delight in handcrafted drinks using only real ingredients, like real chocolate, vanilla, and caramel," Newbury said. "Taste the difference in the signature Mochas, crafted with real chocolate chips melted into espresso; or in the whipped cream that tops the brand's signature Caribou Cooler."
Caribou also offers alternatives for non-coffee drinkers, including teas and "Caribou BOUsted" beverages made with caffeine from coffee plus guarana and ginseng.
Additionally, guests can find offerings from Caribou’s food menu, including a variety of breakfast sandwiches, baked goods and snacks, including hardwood smoked ham, Swiss cheese and a cage-free fried egg on a buttery croissant; or whole grain oats with maple syrup, topped with a crunchy maple brown sugar crumble.
Coffee with a cause
At the November grand opening fundraiser, $1 from every transaction on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19-20, was donated to the Wayne County Humane Society.
Also, Caribou Coffee will donate 10% of all proceeds of Amy’s Blend coffee sold through June 5 to the International Women’s Coffee Alliance.
Caribou Coffee was founded in 1992 and provides innovative, handcrafted beverages, and an all-day breakfast menu including gluten free, vegetarian and plant-based items.
Each menu item is crafted with the purpose to create day-making experiences that go beyond the beans and ingredients. Caribou also offers small-batch roasted coffee beans for purchase as well as seasonal limited time offerings.
