Which TV Performance Made You Realize An Actor Had Better Range Than You Thought?

There are some actors who have been praised for every TV performance from, honestly, the very beginning of their careers to present day.
But I want to talk about the TV performances that made you realize an actor was better than you might've thought. Whether it was because you didn't like another performance they gave but then found one you loved, you were shocked by their incredible range, or anything in between.
Maybe you're like me and you watched a few episodes of The Big Bang Theory and weren't blown away by Kaley Cuoco as Penny, but once she started starring on The Flight Attendant, you realized how undeniably talented she is.
Perhaps you hadn't really checked in on Henry Thomas since his days as Elliot in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, but then you watched The Haunting of Hill House and you realized he'd become an amazing horror actor and isn't simply a "former child star."
Maybe you kind of took Christina Applegate's performance in Married...With Children for granted, but then you stumbled upon Dead to Me (or even Samantha Who?), and now you consider her one of your favorite TV actors.
Heck, perhaps you think Alfred Enoch was not given enough screentime in the Harry Potter films, so you kind of brushed him off as a side character, but then you saw him act his ass off as Wes on How to Get Away With Murder.
So tell me which TV performances made you realize an actor was better than you first thought and WHY in the comments below, and you could be featured in a BuzzFeed Community post or video!
