Wheelchairs 4 Kids taking 19 Tampa children on special ski trip

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Wheelchairs 4 Kids, a non-profit that provides wheelchairs and other therapeutic equipment to families, will be taking 19 children from Tampa on an adaptive snow skiing trip to Breckenridge, Colorado.

The kids will leave Tampa on Saturday and head to Colorado for a weekend of skiing with specially adapted sleds and poles, according to a news release.

The kids will return to Tampa on April 10.

Aside from the organization’s corporate sponsors, the remaining portion of the trip was paid for by doners in the Tampa Bay area.
