White Deer Fun Festival set for July 27

Jul. 18—WHITE DEER — The White Deer Community Park is holding its third annual Family Fun Festival on July 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park along the White Deer Pike.

The third annual Family Fun Festival will feature a free magic show, chance auction, crafts, vendors, entertainment, and games for children and adults. There will also be chainsaw carving demonstrations throughout the event.

Children ages 16 and younger are encouraged to enter to win a bicycle. Donated by the White Deer Car Wash, there are two bicycles up for grabs. The bike raffle is free to enter for children.

The park board is still welcoming crafters and vendors for this event. Those interested in attending may contact Deb Reitmeyer Bieber at 570-220-0645. Volunteers are needed for this event, as well. Those interested should contact the park through its Facebook page. Volunteers may also arrive at the park around 9 a.m. the day of the event.

Proceeds from the Family Fun Festival will be used for ongoing park projects including upgrades to the building and facilities.
