Why Bethenny Frankel Finally Apologized to 'Nemesis' Martha Stewart

Bethenny Frankel officially made amends with Martha Stewart after years of intense rivalry.

The Real Housewives alum, 53, opened up about apologizing to her "nemesis" on her podcast Just B with Bethenny Frankel, saying it all went down at the 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City this past weekend.

"‘You’re amazing. What you’ve been doing is unbelievable. I’m so impressed,'" she said of the media mogul, 82, adding that she "kissed the proverbial ring" and the pair's relationship is no longer a tumultuous one.

"I said, ‘I kiss the proverbial ring,’ I said, ‘I’m sorry for anything that has happened.’"

"Full tail, right between legs, don’t even know what I’m sorry for," Frankel continued, "Doesn’t f-----g matter, meaning we’re both grown a-- women who have nothing to prove in this life. And it just hit different. It just hit different.”

The beef between the TV personality and the lifestyle guru started searing when Frankel appeared on The Apprentice spinoff hosted by Stewart nearly two decades ago.

"What she said to me when she fired me was insane," Frankel said of her firing from the series during an earlier episode of her podcast released this past February. "She said, 'Bethenny, you're pushy, you're a show-off and you feel the need to make a physical impression which is not entirely necessary at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.'"

Fast forward to now, Frankel still believes that what was said during the show was uncalled for, among other things. "The comments she’s made to me are insane," Frankel admitted, hinting that there are other "crazy stories" about her run-ins with Stewart.

Ups-and-downs aside, the entrepreneur and philanthropist said that looking back on it, the issues she and Stewart had didn't come from a place of hate.

"It’s really been this nemesis sort of friendly rivalry," Frankel explained. "It was back and forth. But it was never, like, vicious. It was just sort of, healthy battle. For no good reason."
